For security purposes, access to the University campus is controlled through the control access points and requires the presence of NU ID cards. Visitors can enter based on approved request sent to the online form Campus Access Request For Visitors
All other visitors must register at access points of the University, using their ID cards.
There are 3 car access control checkpoints (Turan 2-3-4) and 2 walk-ins entrance(main gates by Turan and Kabanbay batyr)

NU Smoke-Free Policy
At NU, we are committed to promoting the health and well-being of our community. As part of our ongoing efforts to align with global standards and contribute to a healthier environment, we would like to remind everyone that the university has had a Smoke-Free Rule in place across all campuses.
This rule is designed to ensure the safety and health of all students, faculty, and staff, in line with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being,as well as international health standards such as those outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC), which emphasize creating smoke-free environments in educational institutions worldwide.
For those who smoke, designated smoking areas are available on campus, as shown on the map below. These spaces are clearly marked and are provided to ensure that the rest of the university environment remains free from tobacco smoke.
